president obama hits the road this week to build public support for the affordable care act. sunday a senior white house aide insisted the president was told the healthcare.gov website would work on day one but says that's no excuse. >> it is getting this website working so that millions of americans have access to quality affordable health insurance. >> reporter: the website repeatedly crashed in first month and was down for repairs this weekend. a new poll shows 48% of believe the government has done a poor job of implementing the health care law. >> the website failures are absolutely inexcusable. we own that. that's on him. we have to fix it. we owe it to the american people to fix it. >> reporter: the white house says the site will be fixed by the end of the month, republicans are skeptical. >> they're trying to change a tire on a car going 75 miles an hour on an expressway. >> reporter: even democrats want healthcare.gov to be taken down for repairs. >> i said they ought to take down the website. >> reporter: americans are learning more about the new law. 55% of those p
